WHAT ?
Gherkins come from a herbaceous plant of the Cucurbitaceae family. This plant is cultivated for its fruits which are harvested before maturity and consumed mainly as condiments. The gherkins are put in brine, giving them a slightly briny taste and allowing them to be preserved for several months.
Originating from the Himalayas, the gherkin would have been cultivated for the first time in India. The main production area in the world is located there, although we plan to develop partnerships with Breton farmers to offer gherkins French origin.
Whole or cut gherkins (slice, Julienne, Brunoise, etc.)
Available in classic or sweet and sour brine
WHEN ?
Because of their conservation method, gherkins are available whatever the season.
For the past few years, harvesting campaigns have been complicated by climatic problems in India. In addition, since 2020, there have been difficulties in shipping due to the lack of space for containers, which lengthens the delivery time. However, Délivert has stocked enough goods to deliver on time.
Bags (2,5 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg) or plastic buckets (2 kg, 10 kg)
Buckets can be resealed, which avoids the risks of injury and aliminates foreign bodies from the metal boxes.
HOW ?
Our gherkins are available whole in brine in different packaging. Our machine park also allows us to propose many cuts such as julienne, brunoise, or slices.

We work the brine to offer you sweet and sour gherkins to be perfectly integrated into your preparations such as burgers, for example. We also wish to soon develop a process to limit sulfites and offer pickles with non-declared sulfite content.
